Student Voice Leadership Day
When: Tuesday 22 March 2022 from 9.30 – 2.30pm
Location: Canterbury Christ Church University
Students: For three Student Voice representatives from each partnership school
Event objective: To equip students with key skills for leadership and their role as Student Voice representatives for EKST. Developing oracy, collaboration, project management and event planning skills.
Draft Outline for the day:
09:45 – 10:00 Students arrive at St Gregory’s Centre for Music car park
10:00 – 10:50 Collaboration – Students will learn the benefits of effective collaboration through an ethical debate on Lockdown and Covid.
11:00 – 11:50 Project Management – Students will mind map the logistics of a large-scale event.
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch
12:40 – 13:30 Event Planning Students will learn how to take an event from idea to execution by planning a future EKST student voice activity.
13:40 – 14:30 Oracy – Students will develop key skills in communication and presentation.
14:30 Evaluation
14:40 Depart – End of Day
Practicalities:

Students to attend in their school uniform please and to have lunch with them (there is a cafeteria near by if they would rather buy lunch on site). No equipment needed on the day except a pencil case and water bottle.
Staff attending will be provided with a space to work and are not expected to support the sessions.
